Top free games Xbox One
Microsoft's newest video game console boasts a solid mix of exclusive and cross-platform titles that will thrill Xbox One players. These ten are the best.
Sony PlayStation 4 may be this console generation's best-selling system, but Microsoft's Xbox One doesn't deserve to be overlooked. Seriously. The console has a number of cool and quirky exclusive and cross-platform titles that make it worth the $349 starting price.
Yes, starting price. Xbox One is now available in several tiers and bundles, and you can purchase the console with or without Kinect. Considering that Microsoft barely made a peep about Kinect at this year's E3 (which led many to suspect that the peripheral is dead in its current form), the base Xbox One may be the wise purchase if you're looking to upgrade from Xbox 360.
Humble Beginnings
In fact, it's amazing that the Xbox One is a PCMag recommended gaming platform when you consider its rocky beginnings. Xbox One endured an extremely rough start before it began shipping to retail outlets in November 2013. Highly vocal members of the video game community took Microsoft, and the console itself, to task for a highly questionable DRM scheme that would've radically altered how people played and shared video games. Microsoft eventually reversed its DRM tactic, and went on to sell nearly 10 million units. Now the Xbox One is one of the video game industry's more interesting and desirable consoles thanks to deep television features and a price cut.
A steady supply of solid games helped raise the Xbox One's public profile, too. Not only did the Xbox One receive highly sought-after third-party, multi-platform games like Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Far Cry 4, but it's also home to a handful of excellent exclusives like D4 and Sunset Overdrive.
Great Games
The Xbox One games that you'll find in this list are titles that will let you: engage in hyper-violent combat; race fast cars down beautiful, winding roads; hop inside mechanical behemoths; solve murders; and become an all-star. Microsoft's console has a little something for nearly every type of gamer.

Hello! I don't have many games for the Xbox One (I only have Forza 5), but I can tell you that some that seem like they will be the best. Titanfall (I was in the beta, and it was freakin' awesome!) is on my list, Shadows of Mordor (since you said you want Thief you will probably like this too and it releases tomorrow February 25), Wolfenstien seems good (I haven't seen much, but I liked the others). I love Castlevania (I have no idea if it's on Xbox One). Elder Scrolls Online seems fun, but you have to pay $15 a month. Witcher 3 looks cool (Witcher 2 was fun) and the new game coming out…
Call of Duty: World at War Call of Duty: World at War released on November 10, 2008 is the best ranked game on XBox 360.
